0 Bali Marathon to draw 4,000 runners

Around 4,000 local and international participants are expected to take part in the BII Maybank Bali Marathon to be held in Gianyar regency on June 16. Online registration opened on Jan. 31 at www.balimarathon.com. Dato’ Khairussaleh Ramli, president of PT BII, as quoted by Antara news agency, told the press on Sunday that the online registration was aimed at providing easy access for professional and amateur runners from all over the world to participate in this international sports activity. 

The Bali Marathon will have three categories— the 42.195-kilometer full marathon, a half marathon and a 10-kilometer marathon. There will also be a Children’s Sprint. He said that the routes for the full and half marathons in Gianyar had been certified by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races and had an International Measurement Certificate.
