0 Chinese accessories shops see booming orders

The Chinese New Year is bringing blessings to shops in Denpasar, Bali, selling accessories related to the celebration with increasing orders received. Andi, the owner of a shop on Jl. Sutomo, said that since last week he had received many orders from individual customers and businesses, including hotels, restaurants, banks and shops. 

"We sell accessories with the water snake symbol, as next year will be the Year of the Water Snake," he said. Some of the products had to be imported because they were not produced locally. The accessories, such as lanterns, tree miniatures to hang angpao envelopes from, cherry blossoms and Chinese cakes, are sold at prices between Rp 20,000 to Rp 100,000 (US$2.06-10.30).
