The Crescent Star Party (PBB) advisory board chairman,Yusril Ihza Mahendra, said that the party would be ready to fight a long legal battle against the General Election Commission (KPK) over its decision to disqualify the party from participating in the 2014 elections. “We will fight to the end,” Yusril said as quoted by kompas.com.
Yusril said that after filing a complaint to the State Administrative Court (PTUN), the party would also file a lawsuit against the court to the Supreme Court. Yusril said that the party was a victim of injustice. “Whenever I pick a fight, I go all the way,” Yusril said. The Election Supervisory Committee (Bawaslu) had previously rejected a complaint from the PBB regarding its decision to not pass the party in its factual verification process. Yusril, a founding member of the PBB, has threatened legal actions that could lead to the disqualification of all political parties from the 2014 elections.
