Guitarist Tohpati will feature in Rectoverso, the film adaptation of a compilation of short stories by Dewi “Dee” Lestari. “I don’t act. I just play guitar, accompanying Acha Septriasa who sings in the movie,” he said as quoted by kompas.com. Tohpati said he initially refused to be in the movie when producer Marcella Zalianty asked him. He eventually agreed after he was allowed to play guitar live, not pretend to play the instrument. “I didn’t feel like I was in a movie. The shoot went well, there were no retakes,” he said. Rectoverso will be out in cinemas on Feb. 14.
